Maya Update 6/19/08
She did it!  Pleasant Meadows Serendipity (Maya) made it to the big time.  We took her to her first breed show and she competed against a number of absolutely gorgeous Warmblood mares and held her own.  The show held at Morven Park showcased over 120 gorgeous warmblood horses of all ages in-hand and under saddle.

Since purchasing Maya in January when she was wooly, under weight, and afraid of EVERYTHING we've taken our time getting her to trust people.  She a true "pleaser" with a great attitude and movement that is jaw dropping!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to showcase her gorgeous trot at the show... my legs just aren't quick enough!  She scored 72% in both Maiden/Yeld classes on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Klaus Schenberg of High Point Hanoverians was kind enough to run her for me on Tuesday, and I showed her myself on Wednesday.

We're so proud of her progress.  It looks like her next show will be under saddle as she debuts her talent at her first dressage show next week... keep you posted.

Upperville '08

We're pleased to announce that our homebred Irish Sport Horse - Bugaboo held his own in the large 3 and under Irish Draught part bred class.  Some very lovely horses were beautifully turned out.  It was great to see so many Irish Draughts in one place!

Bokkus was quite full of himself at the Upperville Colt & Horse Show this past weekend.  He had a hard time concentrating with his buddy back at the tent.  Despite calling for his pal, he still looked great and held his own!  Both boys were in the ribbons in their respective classes.  Bokkus showed in the OTTB 2 year old colts/geldings class.
