Sport Horse Seminar & Inspection

An Inspection & Branding will be held in a Sport Horse Breeding Seminar Format at Pleasant Meadow Farm in Flemington, NJ on Sunday, August 15, 2010.

The American Warmblood Society's Inspections are offered in an educational format. Come learn about good Sport Horse qualities for performance and/or breeding through open discussion. ALL HORSES MUST BE SHOWN IN-HAND. YOUNG HORSES (until 3 years old) ALSO SHOWN AT LIBERTY.

INSPECTION FEE $50 PER HORSE
ALL INSPECTION SCORES WILL BE ENTERED IN AWS NATIONAL INSPECTION AWARDS.
The top three scoring registered horses (regardless of age) will receive the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
All designations receive a ribbon. The AWS Designations are:

80% or Higher - Supreme
75% - 79-99% - Blue Preferred
67% - 74.99% - Red Preferred
62% - 66.99% - Certified

All American Warmbloods are required to satisfy registration performance requirements. This inspection is one of the seven ways to satisfy the requirement with a 62% or Higher. The performance requirement can also be satisfied through Dressage, Eventing, Combined Driving, Show Jumping, Sport Horse In-Hand classes or through AWS registered off-spring performance records.

Entries are limited to 30. All registration applications, inspection entry forms & fees must be sent to the AWS office postmarked at least 15 days prior to the Inspection date, or pay a $50.00 Rush fee - NO EXCEPTIONS. Horses that achieve a score of 67% or higher will also qualify for branding (optional & payable at Inspection).

OBSERVERS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

A special thanks to the volunteers for their assistance at the American Warmblood Inspection. Please be courteous and gracious because without them the AWS would not be able to offer this service.


Notes about our individual inspection

  • Stabling will be available for $30.00 a day down the street from Pleasant Meadow Farm at 91 Hillcrest Rd.: www.hollypayne.com/TrainingFacilities.html. Email Holly Payne at: holly@hollypayne.com holly@hollypayne.com.
  • There will be a complementary wine and cheese party during the awards ceremony.
  • Lunch will be available for purchase during the break.
  • No dogs please, and small children must be attended to at all times.
